how can the saints help us?

the wisdom of the saint is readily available

The Wisdom of the Saints

The saints can provide us with fantastic help. If we implore the saint assistance, not only will they happily and fervently pray many prayers on our behalf from Heaven, but God has also inspired many of the saints to write books and give homilies (which are compiled into books) just to help guide us correctly to Heaven.

Sadly, most books written by non-sanctified persons are written with errors, since they don’t have the wisdom of the saints. These errors we most likely won’t see, since most of us don’t have the wisdom of the saints either, but if we are deceived into believing they are truth, the misguidance can lead us away from God and hasten us towards our eternal doom. Yikes! We don’t want to mistakenly follow broken advice.

Since most of us are suffering from some kind of blindness and don’t know The Way correctly, we need help. But, we absolutely don’t want the wrong help. From our lack of wisdom sometimes, we won’t know the truth from a lie, right from wrong, or pride from humility, since these are the blinding consequences of pride—that most of  us are heavily plagued with.

Therefore, we want to be sure—absolutely sure—we are guided correctly, since we can easily be deceived. Plus, since we live in the time of great darkness, sadly practically everyone who is an author today doesn’t know The Way correctly, and is mistakenly misleading souls with many things pertaining to the true faith…at the very least, they are leading us to maintain a lukewarm life. But most just don’t see it.

For that reason, so we don’t mistakenly believe a lie or become deceived in away from the Truth, it is only smart to avoid their works…stick with the saints, who we know found The Way and have great wisdom. They won’t lead us astray.

Sure sometimes the saints books are a little harder to read than the more modern books, and some of them are for very advanced souls in the faith, and if we aren’t careful we can misinterpret them (like any book), but someone with no faith, who truly wants to know The Way, can grow in wonderful correct knowledge trusting in God to enlighten the through The Word, the Catechism of the Catholic Church (authored by the saints) and the works of the saints alone. We don’t need anything else. Then we will be sure there won’t be any conflicting or confusing information being given to us, just the truth.

The saints have written books on how to pray, come to know God, how to become a saint, the beauty of the Mass, spiritual direction, true presence of the Holy Eucharist, how to be a holy priest, sacrifice, The Magnificence of the Mother of God, and countless other topics. Please read them in prayer while asking of the Holy Spirit to enlighten and guide you. They are all you need.

Lifting Our Values understands the challenges many of us have with understanding some of the saints works, since some are with translations being in old English and some of the formats of the books being less than reader friendly, so we are re-translating and re-publishing many of them so you can have the best means possible to easily understand the wisdom of the saints…but this is a work in progress. However, we do have a web page “Books Written by the Saints” with free pdf and amazon links to many of the saints works.

To try to make accessing the right materials easier, we have labeled, and color coded by category the books. We hope this helps motivate you and keeps you on the narrow path to Life.
